Monday, May 11th
Writing: Journal assignment, watch the video “Tom Foolery, The Tale of A Virus” and write a letter to your future self, explaining what the pandemic was and how it affected you
Reading: 30 minutes on Epic or book of choice
Math: sharing and regrouping in division: watch video, do assigned pages on See Saw(textbook work
#1-8 extra practice is optional)
Mathletics division assignment: Something Easier “Grouping In Twos”
Tuesday, May 12th
Writing: finish letter
Reading: instruction video “Self to Text connections”
-Do “Self to Text Connections” reading log #1
Math: Factors and Multiples instruction video, do factor tree assignment
Mathletics assignment: “Dividing By Two’s”
Wednesday: May 13th
Writing: part 2 of journal “You Are Living Through History” photo album page
Reading: Read “The Sweetest Fig” by Chris Van Allsburg, make connections and do the anticipation guide
Math: do multiples assigned page
Mathletics: “Dividing By fives” and “Dividing by Tens”
Thursday: May 14th
Writing: watch the read aloud video of “The Sweetest Fig”, select which statement you either agreed or disagreed with and use persuasive writing in a paragraph to prove your point (ex why big dogs are better than little dogs or why it is important to have just a little money as opposed to a lot),
-create a poster advertising your view to visually persuade your point (draw, paste photos-your choice)
Reading: read on Epic or book of your choice for 30 minutes
Math: Relating Division to Multiplication, do assigned pages (extra textbook work optional #1-14)
Mathletics assignment: “Missing Numbers x and ÷ facts
Friday, May 15th
Reading: read a book of choice or on Epic do “ Self to Text Connections” reading log #2
Math: Divide by Halving, video and do assignment
Mathletics: “Halve it”
Optional: 2 Science and Social Studies lessons will be posted,
Students are working on their Metis package (in orange duotang)
