Tuesday :
Narrative Writing Project:  due by Friday March 20th
-planning and organizer (should already be completed)                                                                                                  
-rough draft narrative on loose-leaf (should be completed and teacher edited)
-type narrative story on computer
Story based on one of the illustrations of Chris Van Allsburg's book "The Mysteries of Harry Burdick"

Wednesday
Questioning Reading Log #10:   due by Friday March 20th
-read for 30-35 minutes: document reading time, page numbers, book,
-ask two questions that arise from reading (higher order questions not level one questions)
-answer questions by reading on further, predicting according to context clues, research or infer meaning
-work on narrative story on computers

Thursday
-finish: journal, reading log #10
-work on narrative story on computer

Friday:
-finish narrative writing, print
-do narrative self assessment rubric and fill out writing continuum
-hand in reading log, journal, and writing portfolio (good copy typed narrative, rubric, and writing continuum)

Social Studies:
Monday
-Do map of Native Groups of Canada regions


Tuesday
-do mapping assignments: the First Nation pre-contact regions and Woodlands region (due for Thursday)
-read in text about Woodland area

Thursday
-do eastern woodland questions and start woodland art symbols (questions due for Monday)

Science:
Monday
-lesson on melting, condensation worksheets due on Wednesday
-start lab report on lab #3 Evaporation (create predictions, purpose, outline materials and procedures)

Wednesday
-homework check on Condensation/Melting page
-finish parts of evaporation #3 lab and start lab report #4 Freezing

Friday
-lab #4 complete lab #4  (may be cancelled due to puppet show)


Math:  for the week Nelson Math Focus text
Grade 4: Unit 9 lessons 2-4 on multiplication (see dayplanner for expected homework pages)
